3x626MW pit coal fired power plant project

Lao Hong Sha 3x626MW pit coal power plant project project is the backbone of Thailand and Laos bilateral energy cooperation framework agreement, the mode of operation of IPP project, Thailand National Electric Power Authority (EGAT), Thailand Banpu company and the Lao government jointly funded the establishment of joint venture company to build the project.
The project is located in the vicinity of the border of Thailand more than 30 kilometers Laos Hongsa town. The power plant is about 5 kilometers away from open pit lignite mine, which is the type of pit power station. After the completion of the project, most of the power of the power station will be sent to Thailand national grid through the 500kV transmission line, and the remaining power will be incorporated into the Lao national grid through the 115 kV transmission line.

The project is not only the largest cooperation project between Thailand and Laos, but also the largest EPC thermal power station project exported to China so far.
